FitGrid
The FitGrid product design project focused on creating a dual-experience platform: a B2B web application for studio owners and instructors, and a mobile app for clients. The web app prioritized analytics, communication, and scheduling tools, while the client-facing app emphasized community engagement, class discovery, and seamless booking—bridging operations with customer experience.

Background
FitGrid is a pioneering community-engagement platform designed for boutique fitness studios. Founded in 2017, it connects studios, instructors, staff, and clients via AI-powered messaging, livestream integration, class tracking, and social networking—helping studios boost retention, revenue, and meaningful client relationships.
Challenges
Designing FitGrid’s platform posed challenges in unifying two very different user journeys: business operators managing performance and clients seeking convenience and community. The web app needed to present complex analytics and communication tools without overwhelming users, while the mobile app had to remain intuitive, socially engaging, and visually motivating. Balancing B2B functionality with consumer-friendly design was key.
Outcome
The final product delivers a seamless ecosystem where studios gain actionable insights, streamlined communication, and retention-driving tools via the web platform, while clients enjoy a simple, community-rich mobile experience for class discovery, booking, and engagement. This dual design reinforced FitGrid’s positioning as both a business enabler and a community-builder, boosting retention, loyalty, and studio growth.
